Is it appropriate to use the word “trust” when it comes to dealing with machines, robots and other devices with artificial intelligence? The meaning of trust here is twofold. How is trust simulated? (1) and how is trustworthiness modelled by machine learning systems? (2). Are these systems even capable of moral behavior? And can we trust such models?
