Introductions to English taught study programs

Aerospace Engineering - Master of Science

At the start of the winter semester, an introductory event for the Master (M.Sc.) in Aerospace Engineering program will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 10.00 a.m.  - 12 p.m. in room V 47.03.

Aerospace Engineering - Bachelor of Science

At the start of the winter semester, an introductory event for the Bachelor (B.Sc.) in Aerospace Engineering program will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the auditorium 47.01 (Vaihingen, Pfaffenwaldring 47).

In addition, the MentorING program takes place every year to provide orientation and to ensure an optimal start to studies, in which 15-20 students are supervised by two mentors for the first semester. Registration takes place via the website of the student group ("FLURUS").

Air Quality Control, Solid Waste and Waste Water Process Engineering (WASTE) - Master of Science

Computational Linguistics - Master of Science

Introductory event: Thursday, October 5, 2023, 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. CEST. The introductory event will  be online; the link was sent to our admitted students.

Introductory event: Wednesday, October 4, 2023, 2 p.m. - 3(:30) p.m. CEST. The introductory event will be online; the link will be sent to our admitted students.

Electrical Engineering - Master of Science

The introductory lecture takes place in attendance on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at lecture hall V 47.03 (Pfaffenwaldring 47) and additionally online via webex.

English and American Studies / English Linguistics - Master of Arts

Introductory event of the department: Wednesday, 09th October 2024, 5:00 p.m. - online.

Geomatics Engineering (GEOENGINE) - Master of Science

Attendance introductory event of the program and the department:

  • Monday, October 09, 2023 starting at 10:30 a.m.,
  • Meeting point: Campus Stadtmitte in front of the entrance of Geschwister-Scholl-Str. 24D.

It starts at 10:40 a.m. with the welcome lecture in room M24.12, where you will learn everything important about the start of GeoEngine studies. The dean of studies, Prof. Hobiger, the institutes and the department will introduce the study program. You will get an overview of the study program, its structure as well as important aspects of the study and examination regulations.

The subsequent introductory meeting of the student representatives will begin at approximately 12:00 noon.

Information Technology (INFOTECH) - Master of Science

Introductory lecture: October 09, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (onsite at the university).

Materials Science - Master of Science

On Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm there will be an introductory event for first-year Master's students. The introductory events have the same content; it is therefore only necessary to attend one event.
In the introductory event, the curriculum of the study programme will be presented and informations about the start of the study programme will be given. The introductory event will be offered by the student representatives of Materials Science and the programme coordinator/subject advisor Ralf Schacherl.

In October, a kick-off event for the study year Material Science in Presence is planned. The exact date of this event will be announced on the programme website.

The lectures, lab courses, seminars and exams are organised via Campus. Currently, you can only attend a lecture if you have registered for the lecture in Campus beforehand. On the following website you will find instructions on how to use Campus.

There  will be an event, offered by the student representatives on 05.04. at 14:00 CET. Location to be announced.
 
It will be a hybrid event, in case some students haven't reached the country by that date.
