Introductory event for new students

• Welcome speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry (Prof. Cosima Stubenrauch)
• Welcome speech by the Dean of Studies (Prof. Rainer Niewa)
• Introduction to the Study Program by the Program Manager (Katja Engel)
• Introduction of the Chemistry Student Group, Introduction on How to use C@mpus and Ilias

Afterwards, there will be an informal Get-together lunch with the Chemistry Student Group.

The introductory lecture takes place in attendance on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at lecture hall V 47.04 (Pfaffenwaldring 47) and additionally online via webex.

    Content: Welcome presentation with general information about the study program and presentation of specialization subject "System Dynamics and Automation".

    Place: Waldburgstraße 17/19 and Pfaffenwaldring 9
    Content: You will need a ticket for public transportation on that day. We will visit the labs of the Institute for System Dynamics (ISYS), Institute for Nonlinear Mechanics (INM) and Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control (IST).

The Introductory Lecture for new INFOTECH Students will be held on October 6th, 2026 from 10:00am - 11:00am (onsite at the university, PWR 47.03).

Information on Starting the Master's Program in Materials Science – Winter Semester 2026/2027

To ensure a smooth start to your Master's studies in Materials Science, we offer a range of informational events both before the official start of the semester and during the introductory phase.

The lecture period for the winter semester 2026/2027 will begin on October 5, 2026.

Comprehensive online introduction sessions will be offered on the following dates (Participation is strongly recommended):
