The introductory lecture takes place in attendance on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at lecture hall V 47.04 (Pfaffenwaldring 47) and additionally online via webex.

    Content: You will need a ticket for public transportation on that day. We will visit the labs of the Institute for System Dynamics (ISYS), Institute for Nonlinear Mechanics (INM) and Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control (IST).

The Introductory Lecture for new INFOTECH Students will be held on October 6th, 2026 from 10:00am - 11:00am (onsite at the university, PWR 47.03).

For international students, there is an extensive welcome and orientation program by the International Office, including support in the first steps in Stuttgart, an orientation week, information events, and much more.

Information on Starting the Master's Program in Materials Science – Winter Semester 2026/2027

To ensure a smooth start to your Master's studies in Materials Science, we offer a range of informational events both before the official start of the semester and during the introductory phase.

This page is updated regularly. Please check back periodically for the latest information.

The lecture period for the winter semester 2026/2027 will begin on October 5, 2026.

Comprehensive online introduction sessions will be offered on the following dates (Participation is strongly recommended):
