Support for

Our International Office staff supports students at all stages and offers social counseling, assistance with visa issues, practical advice and social events.

Summer break

From Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 14, 2026 there will be no open office hours at the International Office. During this period, many staff members will not be available or have only limited access to their e-mails. The German Courses will take place as usual.

The first open office hours after this short summer break will take place on Monday, August 17, 2 – 4 p.m.

Office hours

The International Office offers on-site open office hours to international students and to all students interested in studying abroad:

  • March-April & September-October: Monday & Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m. to noon
  • In the remaining period: Monday & Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Some of our staff members still work from home. If you want to talk to a specific person, we recommend you make an appointment.

International researchers and doctoral students should make an appointment for a personal consultation.

Come and see us at the IZ!

Online office hours at the International Office are only offered to students interested in studying abroad:

  • Monday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Is everything okay with your visa?

Should you have any troubles concerning your visa or residence permit please contact the International Office immediately. We have lots of useful information and may contact the Foreign Registration Office for you.
