Information session

The information session is the first step on your way abroad.

Regular office hours

The International Office offers on-site open office hours to international students and to all students interested in studying abroad:

  • March-April & September-October: Monday & Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m. to noon
  • In the remaining period: Monday & Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Some of our staff members still work from home. If you want to talk to a specific person, we recommend you make an appointment.

International researchers and doctoral students should make an appointment for a personal consultation.

Come and see us at the IZ!

Online office hours at the International Office are only offered to students interested in studying abroad:

  • Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

International researchers and doctoral students should make an appoinment for a personal online consultation.

For most scholarship programs application deadlines are 1 to 1.5 years before the start of the study abroad. You should therefore attend a group advising session at the International Office early on so that you have enough time to plan and prepare your stay.

The information session provides you with information about the partner universities of the University of Stuttgart, the planning and preparation, the language requirements, application deadlines, and financing opportunities of different study abroad opportunities.

If you are planning to complete a thesis, a term paper, or a research project abroad, please make an appointment for one-on-one advising with the relevant program coordinator at the International Office.

Please note that all information sessions are currently held in German. If you think that you don't have sufficient German language skills to follow a session, please get in touch with the respective program coordinator directly.
