Key competencies (SQ)

Interdisciplinary key competencies are courses designed to reinforce the so-called "soft skills". The course contents prepare you for eventual entry into the workforce and enhance your chances for a job and career prospects. SQ courses are designed to complement the student’s future professional field.

The skills are divided into six different competency areas [de]. Your study program’s examination regulation controls which SQs you can take or in which competence areas you need to earn credits. Each SQ module corresponds to three ECTS (Course Credits Transferable Europe-wide).

All Bachelor’s students must take key competencies courses. Rules for Master’s study programs differ, so check your examination regulation for the applicable particulars if any.
