Key competencies (SQ)
Interdisciplinary key competencies are courses designed to reinforce the so-called "soft skills". The course contents prepare you for eventual entry into the workforce and enhance your chances for a job and career prospects. SQ courses are designed to complement the student’s future professional field.
The skills are divided into six different competency areas [de]. Your study program’s examination regulation controls which SQs you can take or in which competence areas you need to earn credits. Each SQ module corresponds to three ECTS (Course Credits Transferable Europe-wide).
All Bachelor’s students must take key competencies courses. Rules for Master’s study programs differ, so check your examination regulation for the applicable particulars if any.
- Please register for SQ courses on C@MPUS. Check the system user guide for more details regarding course registration.
- Please pay special attention to the criteria for the allocation process and important things to keep in mind when registering for SQs [de].
- See the FAQs [de] for more questions and answers.
