Everything that is transformed from a raw material to a product
passes through the hands of chemistry and bio-engineers.
For example, in the production of plants used to brew beer, or fungi in antibiotics,
cotton used to produce clothing, or waste materials in fuel.
In the Bronze Age, craftsmen discovered how to extract metal from ore and use it to make tools.
Today, it is trained engineers that make the world more appetizing, versatile, safer, and healthier.
Among the engineering sciences, chemistry- and bio-engineering, and process engineering are characterized by their close links to physics, chemistry and biology. From the production of food, textiles, pharmaceutical products and cosmetics; to fuel production and building materials, and even energy production - process engineering is in use everywhere. Which is why the study program is divided between numerous institutes:
