The Student Congregations are institutions of the Catholic and Protestant churches.
They will support you in times of crisis or distress, when you are in need of pastoral support and advice. The support is offered to all students and lecturers of the University of Stuttgart and the higher education institutions in Stuttgart.

The advisory services include:

  • Pastoral care
  • Information on scholarships provided by churches (the Catholic Cusanuswerk, the Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD), Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst)
  • Information on short-term financial aids (Caritas, Social Welfare Service of the Protestant Churches in Württemberg, Aid Fund of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, Wilhelm Weckherlin Foundation)
  • Support for foreign students
Students from developing countries often face unexpected difficulties when studying in Germany. In case of emergency situations in advanced semesters, the student congregations try to find financial solutions.
