Have articles delivered electronically: Corona offers of the University Library for students and lecturers

December 1, 2020

The University Library (UB) has expanded its digital services in the second Corona-related digital semester. The Local Electronic Article Delivery Service (LEA), for example, is also open to students.

You need literature? The University Library (UB) delivers it electronically directly to your workplace. To support digital teaching and research, the UB improves its digital offers also from the printed literature stock of the UB.

In order to continue to guarantee the supply of literature to the university during the Corona measures and to adapt it to the circumstances, the UB has taken several measures. For example, the range of e-books was expanded. In particular, the Local Electronic Article Delivery Service LEA is available to students of the University of Stuttgart in addition to all employees since March 2020.

You will find the link to electronic article delivery in the menu on the respective results page of the catalog search.

You can trigger the article order by clicking the LEA button in the catalog. Please regard the following restrictions:

  • Articles that are available electronically at the Stuttgart University Library cannot be ordered via the article delivery service.
  • You can order complete articles from journals or anthologies and up to 15 percent from books from the print stock of the Stuttgart University Library.

The LEA service is very well accepted, especially under Corona conditions: Since March, it has been many times higher than the volume of 2019. If you have any questions, please contact LEA Support by e-mail. The delivery time is a maximum of 48 hours (Mondays to Fridays). This service is free of charge.
