Introductions to English taught study programs

Our Welcome & Info Meeting (introductory event) will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 1 pm CET (until approx. 2:30 pm). It will be held online; admitted students have received an e-mail containing the link.

Our Welcome & Info Meeting will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, 1 pm CET (until approx. 2 pm). It will be held online; admitted students have received an e-mail containing the link.

The introductory lecture takes place in attendance on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at lecture hall V47.03 (Pfaffenwaldring 47, university-campus Vaihingen) and additionally online via webex.

* Introductory lecture: First speaker is Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ingmar Kallfass (Dean of Study), second speaker is Representative of the students

Followed by a
* Guided tour of University Stuttgart (Campus Vaihingen)   

12:30 p.m.  -- in Foyer in the basement of building Pfaffenwaldring 47
* Meeting for lunch with the department

The lecture will also be streamed via Webex. A recording of the lecture will be made available afterwards.

Information on Starting the Master's Program in Materials Science – Summer Semester 2026

To ensure a smooth start to your Master's studies in Materials Science, we offer a range of informational events both before the official start of the semester and during the introductory phase.

The lecture period for the summer semester 2026 will begin on October 7, 2026.

Comprehensive online introduction sessions will be offered on the following dates (Participation is strongly recommended):
