In addition to centrally-organized welcoming events, all first semester students are offered introductory events organized by subject that will introduce the course structure to you.
Caution!! Some orientation events as well as block seminars are held even before semester start and some require that you register ahead of time.

The event includes welcoming remarks by the University of Stuttgart's rector / vice rector and by student representatives of stuvus, the University of Stuttgart's student union.

Offerings by Student Counseling Center (ZSB)
New students of all subject fields are welcome to drop in for consultations during our open office hours. Please feel free to come by if you need assistance in the weeks prior to semester start or the early weeks during the first semester.
The STUDIES - INTERNSHIP - CAREER office in the Student Counseling counsels students of the Humanitites and Social Sciences in all career-related questions, including career opportunities and advice on interesting and meaningful internshipd.
