Students are generally allowed to work up to approximately 20 hours per week during the semester, enabling them to support themselves financially while gaining practical experience. Please refer to your residence permit for any additional restrictions.

Projects, practicals, exercises, and oral assessments usually take place during the semester and must be registered separately.
They might be required as precondition to be allowed to sit the final exam (also known as "Pre-Requisites", in german "Schein" or "Vorleistung").

- The Deutschlandstipendium at the University of Stuttgart
The Deutschlandstipendium provides selected students with financial support of €300 per month for a duration of one year. Applicants are evaluated not only on academic performance, but also on additional criteria such as social engagement, personal achievements, and individual circumstances.
The application period is typically announced in January, with funding starting in April.

All non-EU/EEA international students are required to pay tuition fees of €1,500 per semester.
In addition, all students are charged a semester administrative fee and a contribution to the student services organization.
A “Notification of Tuition Fees” document will be available in your C@mpus account once your fees have been calculated. This is an official, personalized document from the university outlining the fees you are required to pay for the semester.
The receipt of payment is also recorded in C@mpus. Please note that it may take up to 7 days after payment for your status to be updated. You can download a confirmation of payment from the “My Certificates and Transcripts” section.
