The study of aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart is organized as a six-semester bachelor's program and a four-semester master's program. The academic degrees Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) are awarded.

The structure of the program is consecutive: Bachelor's graduates are prepared for a professional career, and at the same time the B.Sc. degree is the basis for the Master's degree.

In the Bachelor's program, emphasis is placed on teaching a fundamental knowledge, which is supplemented by a broad range of specialist knowledge at the cutting edge of aeronautics and astronautics. This aims to enable students to work largely independently, which favors flexible deployment in demanding professional fields of activity. As a result, versatile career opportunities are also opened up in other areas that require the application of the latest scientific methods and technologies.
