Christmas greetings from Rector Peter Middendorf

Dear members and affiliates of the University of Stuttgart,

As the year 2025 draws to a close, many of you are surely in the midst of the usual end-of-year rush: projects need to be completed, final coursework submitted, the last lectures are taking place, and numerous important administrative processes are to be wrapped up before the Christmas break.

Before we all head off into a well-deserved holiday, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. Thank you for your outstanding commitment and your dedication to the University of Stuttgart throughout this year.

2025 has been a year that moved us in many ways. It brought wonderful achievements, inspiring moments, and situations that challenged us – and that we mastered together. This very combination highlights how reliable and committed our university community truly is.

I wish you a joyful and restful Christmas season with your families, friends, and all those who are important to you. May you find time to relax, recharge, and step into the new year healthy and full of confidence. I am looking forward to 2026 and am excited to see which events, opportunities, and developments await us and our university.
