The University of Stuttgart has a wealth of expertise in the development of research software, i.e., software solutions developed and used by researchers for scientific purposes – from small scripts for data analysis to complex simulation and high-performance computing programs. The Stuttgart Research Software Day aims to highlight the importance of research software and promote exchange between developers, users, and interested parties.
Program:
- 4 p.m., Room V47.02: Keynote speeches: What is research software, why is it essential for science, and why is Stuttgart a leading location for its development?
- 4:45 to 6:30 p.m., Foyer V47: Exhibition with posters and demos
Anyone interested in the topic of research software (whether or not they are affiliated with a university), all students and employees of the University of Stuttgart, as well as participants of the deRSE26 conference, which will take place from March 3 to 5 at the University of Stuttgart, are welcome and invited to present their own research software.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is requested.
