"Daily" - A radically public building

Cities have never been so heterogenous and multicultural in terms of their residents, and never have democracy and equality been better anchored than they are today. For us, this combination is the key to meeting global and local challenges in a positive and creative way.

With its open use and spatial concept, the "Daily" is a radical public space for the individual and active creation and sharing of space, things, values and knowledge. Spatially as well as socially, it enables people to become empowered and to participate in the shaping of an urban society. The collected findings and knowledge gained about the "Daily" will be made available to the general public in Stuttgart's Stadtpalais. The concept focuses on participation and performance and enable direct involvement in current research.

Various event formats on a diverse range of research topics encourage participants to shape and discuss research. The "Daily" project is based on a research project conducted by the Institute of Urban Planning and Design about the basic principles of spatial design for everyday interactions and exchanges in the city.
