University Sports: Summer program now online

Registration opens April 5—join courses, outdoor adventures, and campus highlights like the Summer Olympics and Campus Run.

Get ready for an exciting summer with University Sports! This season’s program features a wide range of new and engaging offerings—from a beginner-friendly Bridge workshop and holistic mobility & balance training to the unique team sport Kin-Ball, played with a giant inflatable ball.

Learn impressive card flourishes in Cardistry, explore the traditional self-defense system of Ving Tsun Kung Fu, or challenge your strength and endurance in HYROX-style training.

For those seeking adventure, we’re heading outdoors: join a guided ascent of Germany’s highest peak Zugspitze via the scenic Höllental route, or take part in an unforgettable kiteboarding camp in Oostvoorne, Netherlands.

Summer highlights include:

May 8 – Summer Olympics
Kick off the season with a fun-filled evening of creative games and trending sports. Teams of 6 to 8 participants will compete in challenges that test coordination, skill, and teamwork. Food, drinks, and great vibes included!

June 18 – TK CampUS Run
Lace up your running shoes! Following a welcome address by by Chancellor Anna Steiger, the starting signal sounds at 4:00 PM for the TK CampUS Run across the Vaihingen campus. Choose between 6 km or 12 km distances and join over 1,000 participants. All runners receive a race shirt, with prizes awarded to top finishers.

Important dates for the 2026 summer semester:
April 1 (12 p.m.): Course program online
April 5 (10 a.m.): Registration opens
April 7: Courses begin
