Strengthening digit@Le teaching

Launch of the online event series "Strengthening digit@Le teaching: an overview of offerings for lecturers" This series offers an overview of activities in the field of digital teaching at the University of Stuttgart.

The return to onsite teaching has transformed the entire university in a real-world laboratory, where all those involved can reflect on which digital formats from the pandemic period will remain in use. The e-learning team from the Technical Information and Communication Services (TIK) and the Center for Higher Education and Lifelong Learning (ZLW) [de] invite you to attend this new event series "Strengthening digit@Le teaching: an overview of activities for lecturers", which is part of the project digit@L and will focus on an exchange of ideas and the further development of the services offered by the TIK and the ZLW. In regular live sessions, concepts, tools and services for digital teaching will be presented in a lively dialogue, with plenty of space for collegial exchange.

Target group

This event is aimed at lecturers at the University of Stuttgart who wish to further develop their own teaching and find out about current and future measures in this context, as well as teachers who are interested in exchanging ideas and networking on the topic of digital teaching. Student representatives who wish to provide information from a student perspective, and eScouts are also welcome.

Concept

This event series comprises regular 90-minute live Webex sessions. Registration is not required. Two sessions are planned for the summer semester. The launch event on May 4 at 4:00 p.m. will feature short presentations on the e-learning certificate program, instructional coaching, and the use of the Makerspace in teaching, among other topics. 

Dates

The project “digit@L - Digital Teaching and Learning at the University of Stuttgart: Boost. Skills. Support.” focuses on digital teaching and learning at the University of Universität Stuttgart. With this project, the university aims to support students in their individual learning process with digitally enriched teaching and learning formats and adaptive systems that take into account students’ heterogenous needs. The project focuses not only on first-year students and the target group-specific differentiation of foundation courses in digital settings, but also seeks to expand the skills profile of both students and teachers at the University of Stuttgart. This project is coordinated by the Vice Rector for Teaching and Continuing Education and is scheduled to run for three years with total funding of 4.3 million euros. It is funded by Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre.
