On June 18, the Vaihingen campus turned into a running arena as nearly 1,000 runners took part in the TK CampUS Run 2026. The starting signal for the 6 km walk and the 12 km run was given at 4:15 p.m., followed shortly thereafter by the start of the 6 km run. The sporting event offered the right challenge for everyone—from beginners and ambitious runners to those at every level in between.
Despite the hot temperatures, students, staff, and running enthusiasts—cheered on by a large crowd of spectators—ran the varied circuit, which, as always, took them past scenes of daily university life and through the nearby Pfaffenwald forest. Drinking water stations and water sprays along the course provided much-needed cooling.
The TK CampUS Run was held for the first time in 2016. After a hiatus during the coronavirus pandemic, the popular race returned in 2024.
